The mission of The Carl Perkins Center is to "provide support to families in preventing and dealing with child abuse in West Tennessee and to help both parents and children meet the practical needs of preserving and improving the quality of family life." Their services include forensic interviewing, victim advocacy, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy, stewards of children training, nurturing parents class, forever parents class, and support services.
Director, Mrs. Cayla Starnes, will be a fixture on our campus this year as we partner with them through various fundraising endeavors throughout the school year.
This year, we are going to be raising money to help them complete, as well as actually helping them to complete, a variety of much needed projects at their Tipton County Center.
We are thrilled to be able to help a place that makes such a positive impact in the community!
