Theater Arts

Students at the high school level can participate in high school plays and musical productions. The Tipton-Rosemark Academy high school theatre program provides students who are interested in music and/or acting a thriving Christian environment in which to develop and share their God-given talents.

The students have an opportunity to participate and/or perform in the fall play or spring musical productions. They also have an opportunity to perform dramatic skits in chapel services throughout the year.

I had to keep reminding myself that I was watching a high school production. The fall production is a classical or modern play or musical selection. Past fall plays include: Cheaper by the Dozen (2007), Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None (2008), Bermuda Triangle Getaway (2009), Around the World in 80 Days (2011), Rehearsal for Murder (2012), Arsenic and Old Lace (2013), The Rules of Comedy (2014), and Almost, Maine (Winter 2015), Tune Into Murder (2016), White Christmas (2017).

The spring semester production is a musical that involves all areas of the Fine Arts Department: Drama, Visual Arts and Choir. Some past musicals include: Bye Bye Birdie (2008), Grease - The School Version (2009), The Sound of Music (2010), Little Women (Fall 2010), Cinderella Enchanted (2011), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2012), South Pacific (2013), Fiddler on the Roof (2014), and An Evening with the Characters of Pride and Prejudice (2015), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (2016), Oklahoma (2017), Guys & Dolls (2018).
