Accelerated Reading (AR) is a reading program that promotes and challenges students to excel in reading. Students take practice quizzes that provide feedback on comprehension and vocabulary levels. AR allows children to choose books of interest appropriate to their performance level and to monitor their own progress. TRA students in grades 1 - 5 actively participate in Accelerated Reader. Click on Accelerated Reader Enterprise to access the AR testing website. Testing can be done at school only during regular school hours with teacher supervision.

Now, anyone can search AR titles online! By clicking on AR BookFinder you can conduct searches by author, readability level, point value, and topic. Place selected titles in your online AR BookBag, print and take it to your favorite bookstore or library. New - click on the link below to access: Renaissance Place Home Connect

With Home Connect, school and home are linked together to make reading practice even more effective! By logging on from their home computer, students and parents can:

  1. See progress toward reading goals.
  2. Conduct book searches.
  3. Review quiz results.
  4. View number of books read, words read, and quizzes passed.
