Elementary School Expansion

New High School

As we stand on the threshold of one of the largest and most important undertakings in the school’s history: the construction of our comprehensive high school and elementary expansion, we are pleased to report that we are in the beginning stages of our capital campaign, Continuing the Tradition.
We began this undertaking backed by the success of the Tradition of Excellence campaign in 2000, which raised over $500,000 in cash and pledges from those like you who are committed to a quality education in a Christian environment. Now, in order to complete Phase III of the master plan that has been developed, we will need an additional $1 million in funding to service the bonds that have been issued to our academy. This is no small feat and will take the time, patience and gifts of many of Tipton-Rosemark Academy’s families, alumni, and friends.
Please keep this process and its level of promise in your prayers. We all have the opportunity to help TRA reach its Christian potential as a nourishing, values-driven school with high academic standards.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy Beam Signing

On September 13th the TRA faculty, staff, and students made history by joining in on a “Beam Signing”. The first steel beam to be used in the construction of the new high school building was temporarily placed in front of the middle school and all students, faculty, and staff were invited to leave their mark. Excitement filled the day as each class participated in this special event. Then on Monday, September 17th, the construction crew of Henson Construction set the beam over the doorway of the multi-purpose room/cafeteria as a hidden time capsule to live forever in the walls of the new Tipton-Rosemark Academy High School. What an awesome way to leave a legacy!

From the Director of Advancement…

At the beginning of the year, I wrote an article explaining the concept of the new Advancement Office. We are 3 people, Lori Regis - Director of Advancement, Gail Wise - Administrative Advancement Assistant, and
Amy Ford - Special Events Coordinator. Our goal is to not only "advance" the school in enrollment and gifted funds, it is also to communicate to our families, new, old and potential, what we are all about. I think it is safe to say that we have had a successful first year as the "Advancement Office"!

School began with 679 students - 166 of them were new. Since then we have had 15 more new students to start and we have mailed out TRA information packets to 223 inquiring families. We are touring these potential families on a regular basis, and in the midst of our messy construction and all of our apologizing for the "vision" they have to
possess to even understand what it will be like next year - they get it. More than one family has commented that it just "feels right". Some leave here hugging every one of us on their way out the door. One new mother actually had us in tears explaining that her mom, who had recently passed away, must have led them straight here. And they are
correct, it just feels right. We are blessed and we have always known that, sometimes it's just easy to forget.

February has been a big month for the Advancement office with 2 testing dates for our potential students and our newly implemented administrative interview nights. We realized that once school starts in the fall, things move so quickly, and while each new family has been properly introduced and informed, they really have not had any personal
time with their principal to share needs and expectations. We have created this opportunity for them before their contract is due, and while 20-30 minutes is still not enough time, our new families have appreciated the genuine interest that our principals have taken in their child's experience. During the 08-09 enrollment process so far, we have tested 96 new students and interviewed 57 new families.

Because we are in the construction process, instead of an on campus Open House, we are hosting 5 satellite "Meet and Greet" functions in our neighboring communities to spread the word about TRA. Please pass along the post cards that were sent home with your child or have your friends check the website for more information. Prizes are involved!

Finally, our Continuing the Tradition Capital Campaign is coming to a close. Obviously, the billing and pledge commitments will continue for three to five years, and it is NEVER too late to give; however, our family solicitation phase is through. Thank you again to those supporter's who have helped us turn a vision into a reality. I truly think that we left no stone unturned and while perfection is nearly impossible, we definitely went all-out to do it right. To date, the following numbers are correct:

Total number of donors - 224

55 Grandparents - $133,325.00

62 Board Members/Faculty/Staff - $169,033.30

107 TRA Family/Friends- $428,997.40

Of the above gifts, 39 are from TRA alumni and total $235,090

Total amount of campaign dollars pledged to date

$731, 355.70

Please watch for upcoming special events regarding our new buildings. We love to gather our families, we love to celebrate, and we love to tell about what's happening at TRA!

Annual Fund

Giving Opportunities

For 40 years Tipton Rosemark Academy has shared with its students it’s mission of “A Quality Education in a Christian Environment.” Our purpose is to develop to the fullest extent possible, in a safe environment, the talents and potentials of our students so that they may be useful, productive citizens in their community and our nation. Our philosophy that education must emphasize not only the highest possible academic standards, but religious and moral ethics as well is what makes us unique.
When you think of Tipton Rosemark Academy, you probably think of the students and dedicated teachers. However, there are many individuals who make our school successful whom you might never see on campus. This is the case for many caring people who make generous gifts to our school.
Whether you are an alumni, parent, friend, church, foundation or coorporation... you can become an important part of Tipton Rosemark’s future. This site is dedicated to providing information for you to use in supporting our mission.

TRA Annual Fund - This fund was designed as an annual campaign to raise monies for extra things that the departments may need that were not included in the tuition budget. For example, the 2003-04 Annual Fund bought art supplies for the art rooms and updated the science labs. The 2004-05 Annual Fund raised money for upgrades on our computers for the labs and classrooms.

Scholarship Gifts - There are several memorial scholarships given to students at TRA. Any money given to these scholarships will go to a deserving student chosen by various committees.

Living Memorial Fund - The Living Memorial located at the front of our campus was built in rememberence of of TRA students, alumni and faculty. Any monies donated to this fund will go towards adding any new names that may arise and the upkeep of the landscaping, etc. around the memorial.

The TRA Advancement Office is available to assist you with many ways to give to our institution. Alumni, parents and friends of Tipton Rosemark Academy are encouraged to consider the following donor options.

Cash
Monthly Bank or Credit Card Draft
Pledges
Matching Gift
Real Estate
